Privacy Policy

Hera Law, a Mexican company with a registered office Calle Mariano Escobedo 375 Dep. 1403 piso #14, Col Bosque De Chapultepec I Sección, Código Postal 11580, Miguel Hidalgo, CDMX (hereinafter, Hera Law) -in compliance with the requirements established by Mexican law- respects and protects the privacy of the users of the website referred to as the domain wwwheralaw.com and makes every possible and proportional effort not to prejudice the rights of its users.

The purpose of this privacy policy is to help users understand the procedures Hera Law uses in the area of privacy, including what personal data is collected, why it is collected, how it is used, how it is protected, and what individual rights users have.

This privacy policy shall not apply in terms of privacy, information, and other practices by third parties, including third parties that operate websites or services referred to on the site wwwheralaw.com. Our liability in this regard is therefore excluded.

This privacy policy will apply to all personal data that Hera Law acquires or processes when users interact with the wwwheralaw.com website. Examples include: purchasing and using our services, responding to marketing communications, and contacting Hera Law customer service. These interactions may involve visitors, customers, suppliers, or partners.

Also, Hera Law processes personal data in areas other than the wwwheralaw.com site, which requires other privacy policies.

General information about data processing

In this privacy policy, the term “personal data” means information that relates to users. It allows us to identify users, either directly or in combination with other information in our possession.

Users of the Site in general

Hera Law processes users’ data based on their consent. By using or consulting the Hera Law site users explicitly agree to this privacy policy and consent to the processing of their personal data in relation to the purposes and methods described below, including disclosure to third parties, if necessary, for the provision of the service. The provision of data and, consequently, consent to its collection and processing is optional. The user may withhold consent and may revoke the consent given at any time. However, it is possible that the refusal of consent may make it impossible to provide certain services, and the browsing experience on the site may be affected.

Clients

Hera Law will make every effort, in accordance with the electronic modality of the service, to maintain the utmost confidentiality in the provision of the services. All texts, the nature of the work performed, the client’s personal data communicated for translation purposes and any information transmitted by the client to Hera Law will be subject to the strictest confidentiality, and the personal data collected will be treated in accordance with the provisions of Mexican law.

In particular, Hera Law will use the information provided for the performance of the contract (and for the possible implementation of pre-contractual measures) and such information may not be disclosed publicly or to third parties without the prior written consent of the client, except to its authorized employees or its authorized subcontractors, in case their operational or consultative intervention requires knowledge of such information. The foregoing warranties shall not apply if Hera Law is required by law to disclose such information, or in the event that such information is, or becomes, part of the public domain whether or not Hera Law discloses it. Similarly, in cases where the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person require the processing of personal data, or where the processing is necessary for the protection of a legitimate interest of Hera Law or a third party that outweighs the rights of the data subject.

Suppliers and collaborators

The personal data of our suppliers and collaborators (suppliers, translators, interpreters, graphic designers, affiliates, consultants, etc.) will be treated as strictly confidential. The only information that will be communicated to third parties will be the information published on our sites, such as user name, mother tongue, work experience, and studies. Other information such as first name, last name, date of birth, address, and telephone number will be processed only by Hera Law and its authorized suppliers (i.e. accountants, banks, etc.) solely for the purpose of maintaining a proper working relationship and complying with any legal obligations.

III. Information Collected Automatically Web Browsing Data

As with all websites, this site also uses log files in which information from users’ visits is automatically collected and stored. The information collected may include the following:

Internet Protocol (IP) address

Browser type and device settings used to connect to the site

Internet Service Provider (ISP) name

Date and time of visit/application

Number of clicks, if any

The method used to send the request to the server

Size of the file obtained in response

Digital code indicating the status of the response given by the server

Other parameters related to the user’s operating system and computer environment.

The above-mentioned information is automatically processed and collected on an exclusively aggregated basis in order to verify the correct functioning of the site, as well as for security purposes. For security purposes (spam filters, firewalls, virus detection), the automatically recorded data may also include personal data such as the IP address (that which uniquely identifies, at least at that moment, the originating host), which could be used – in compliance with current legislation on this matter – to block attempts to damage the site, harm other users, the performance of malicious activities and activities constituting a crime. This type of data is used to protect the site and its users.

The data indicated are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to control its correct functioning. The data is therefore deleted immediately after processing. Data used for security purposes (blocking attempts to damage the site) will be kept for seven days.

These plugins are programmed not to install cookies when users access the page in order to safeguard the privacy of users. Cookies can only be installed, if so established by the social networks when the user makes effective and voluntary use of the add-on. Please note that, if the user browses the website while connected to the social network, he/she will have already consented to the use of cookies transmitted through this site at the time of registration with the social network.

The collection and use of data obtained through the plugins are regulated by the respective privacy policies of the social networks, to which reference should be made.

Newsletter and email

Users may receive emails from Hera Law for various reasons, such as confirmation of an order or confirmation of the subscription to the Newsletter, or to receive information about Hera Law’s services. In addition, in order to optimize and tailor our offers, we keep track (e.g., with a so-called “tracking pixel”) of whether an e-mail has been opened and which links in the e-mail have been clicked on. We use this data to be able to send and adapt the content of the Newsletter to the Customer.

The user can refuse this type of processing by going to wwwheralaw.com where, for example, he/she can change his/her online profile, unsubscribe from our Newsletter, or contact the data controller at the address below.

VII. Transfer of data to other countries

This site may share some of the data collected with services located outside the Mexico area. In particular with Google, Facebook, and Microsoft (LinkedIn) through social plugins and Google Analytics. 

VIII. Security measures

This site treats user data in a lawful and appropriate manner and takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of data. The processing is carried out through the use of a computer or electronic tools, using appropriate organizational, technical, and administrative measures for the protection of personal data within our company, based on criteria strictly related to the stated purposes. However, it is not possible to guarantee that the data transmission and storage system is 100% secure. Users who have reason to believe that their interactions with us are no longer secure are kindly requested to inform us of the problem immediately.

In addition to the Data Controller, in some cases, other parties involved in the operation of the website may have access to stored personal data (administrative, sales, legal department, and system administrator staff) or external parties (such as technical service providers, couriers, hosting providers, IT companies and communication agencies) who, if necessary, may be appointed by the Data Controller to process personal data.

Users’ personal data will be kept for as long as necessary or permitted, depending on the purposes for which they are collected. In particular, the user can exercise his rights in relation to the processing of personal data by accessing the site wwwheralaw.com, for example, by changing his online profile, or by unsubscribing from our newsletter, or by contacting the data controller at the address indicated above. We will respond to the request in accordance with applicable laws. Users are invited to indicate in their request which personal data they wish to change, to inform us whether they prefer that we delete such data from our database, or to specify the limitations they wish to impose on our use of their personal data. It is important to note that we may need to retain certain information for registration purposes or to complete user-initiated transactions prior to requesting a change or deletion.
